Clavier Virtuel + PSPdisp v0.2?

Menu Options Explained
Control
This submenu will list all control files that are present in the PSPdisp application directory. The control schemes will be listed with their "name" property defined in the control file. The file list is only created when PSPdisp is started and will not be updated while it is running.
To enable a control scheme simply click on the name. To deactivate the control, click on the "Off" menu item.
Options
Grab transparent windows
If checked, PSPdisp can capture transparent windows. It is off by default because it causes the mouse cursor to flicker.
If desktop composition (Aero glass theme) is enabled on Vista, transparent windows can always be captured and this doesn't have any positive effect. Leave it switched off then.
Enable on connection
If checked, communication with the PSP will be automatically enabled when it is plugged in and the PSPdisp game is started. This is enabled by default.
Use Usb & Use Wireless LAN
Selects whether the data should be transmitted through USB or over Wireless LAN. This option can only be changed while communication is not enabled.
Wireless LAN settings...
Opens a dialog window were the IP address and the port of the PSP can be entered. Before first using the Wireless LAN mode you have to configure this. The exact values you have to enter will be displayed on the PSP when Wireless LAN mode is selected there.
Update interval
Select the time PSPdisp should at minimum use per frame. Essentially this is used to limit the transmitted frames per second thus lowering the CPU load.
When "Continuous" is checked, PSPdisp will show the frames as fast as possible.
These values can be configured in the PSPdisp.ini file.
Quality
Chooses the quality setting used for the Jpeg compression. Higher quality means sharper and less blocky images at the expense of filesize. Select a lower quality setting for higher framerates, especially when using the Wlan connection.
These values can be configured in the PSPdisp.ini file (valid range is 1-100).
Screen
Fit screen
Shows the whole desktop on the PSP screen regardless of desktop resolution. This is the most CPU heavy option.
Fit screen (crop to 16:9)
As the name says this will shrink the middle part of the desktop to the PSP screen while preserving a 16:9 aspect ratio. May be useful for transmitting fullscreen movies.
Follow mouse (mode 1)
This is the what was just called "Follow mouse" in version 0.1. Will show a part of the screen and follow the mouse cursor around. Edges of the screen are a bit hard to reach with the mouse in this mode.
Follow mouse (mode 2)
The new default mode. Same as "Follow mouse (mode 1)" but edges are easier to see.
Static viewport
Displays a static part of the desktop regardless of mouse position. When the mouse leaves the selected screen and "Follow mouse" mode is checked, the displayed screen "snaps" back to this view.
Viewport size
Select here the size of the screen that is used for "Follow mouse" and "Static viewport" mode.
Rotation
The screen can be shown rotated by either 90°, 180° or 270°. Useful mostly in conjunction with the portrait modes of the PSPdisp display driver. Rotating the screen increases the CPU load and lowers the framerate.
Set screen origin
Select to change the position of the "Static viewport". After clicking it, the screen mode will change to "Follow mouse (mode 2)". Move the mouse till the desired part of the desktop is shown on the PSP. After you stop moving the mouse, the tray icon will start to flash. When it stops flashing after a couple of seconds, the new viewport is set.
Reset origin to (0,0)
Resets the viewport to the top left corner of the selected screen.
Display device
Display properties...
Invokes the Windows display properties dialog. Here you can modify the position and size of the PSPdisp driver screen. Note that resolutions below 640x480 are not displayed and cannot be set on this dialog. Use the option below to set those modes.
Enable display
Attaches or detaches the PSPisp display driver screen from the desktop. Be careful with this as some applications crash when display settings are changed while they are running (mostly video related programs). Only available when the PSPdisp display driver is installed.
Screen resolution (landscape) & Screen resolution (portrait)
Changes the size of the PSPdisp display driver screen. A lot of modes can only be set through this and not through the Windows display properties dialog. Only available when the PSPdisp display driver is installed.
PSPdisp driver etc...
Chooses the display that is mirrored to the PSP. Shows all display devices that are currently attached to the desktop.
Enabled
Enables and disables the PSP display. Alternatively you can double-click on the PSPdisp tray icon.
USB mode: This option is only available when the PSP is plugged in and the PSPdisp game is started.
Wireless LAN mode: Before enabling this, start the PSPdisp game and change the Wireless LAN settings (see above).
Common Tasks
Setting up a 272x480 screen
This describes how to set up a rotated screen in the native PSP resolution, e.g. for a chat window. Only applies when the PSPdisp display driver is installed.
* Open the display properties "Display device" -> "Display properties..."
* Move the PSPdisp display to the desired location and enable it. Choose any resolution. Close this dialog.
* Change the display resolution to 272x480 by "Display device" -> "Change resolution (portrait)" -> "272x480"
* Set the viewport size to 480x272 by "Screen" -> "Viewport size" -> "480x272"
* Change the rotation option to 90° by "Screen" -> "Rotation" -> "90°"
* Change the display device: "Display device" -> "PSPdisp Driver (272x480)"
Enabling a Wireless LAN connection
Note that the Wireless LAN mode is still experimental and not entirely stable. If the connection is lost, it cannot be enabled again until both the PSP game and the Windows application are restarted.
* Start the "PSPdisp v0.2" game on your PSP.
* Select Wireless LAN mode and connect to your access point.
* The PSP should display an IP address and a port number.
* Enable Wireless LAN mode in the tray application "Options" -> "Use Wireless LAN".
* Set the IP and Port number in the Wlan settings "Options" -> "Wireless LAN settings..."
* Enable the PSPdisp display (click "Enabled").
* You may have to allow PSPisp.exe access to the safe zone in your firewall (e.g. ZoneAlarm would ask now).
Getting a high frame rate
The fps are highly dependent on the power of the CPU, but various settings can be tweaked to gain the maximum framerate.
* Select a lower quality setting "Quality" -> "Low". This applies mostly to the Wlan connection as that has a lower achievable data rate than the Usb connection.
* Don't use "Fit screen", instead use "Follow mouse" or "Static viewport" mode.
* Use a 480x272 viewport "Screen" -> "Viewport size" -> "480x272"
* Turn off screen rotation "Screen" -> "Rotation" -> "Off".
* Disable the framerate limit "Update interval" -> "Continous".
Control Files
The PSP buttons can be used to generate keyboard and mouse events. Which buttons corresponds to what key event is defined in ".control" files. The control files have to be put into the PSPdisp application folder (e.g. "C:\Program Files\PSPdisp\bin\app"). These files are structured like ini-files with a section for each button and every direction on the DPad and the analog stick. At the moment the analog motions are translated in digital button presses. Therefore it can be mapped just like the DPad.
When an error occurs the button will not be mapped, but the rest of the file will. No error message is given.
Available Buttons
The left and right triggers, the main buttons (circle, cross, triangle and square), Start, Select, Home and the DPad and analog stick directions can be mapped. See the "mouse.control" file for an example, the section names should be self explanatory.
"General" section variables
Name
Name of the control scheme. Will be displayed in the control menu.
MapAnalogToDPad
Can be "0" (off) or "1" (on). If on, the analog stick movement will be mapped to the same events as the DPad buttons. The button sections for the analog stick will be ignored.
AnalogDeadZone
Number from 0 to 255. Indicates how much the analog stick has to be moved in either direction to be registered as button press. If chosen too small, it will result in unpredictable behaviour as the analog stick does not center itself properly.
Button section variables
Event
If empty, no event is mapped to this button. Can be either "Keyboard" or "Mouse" otherwise.
Typematic
Can be "0" (off) or "1" (on). Indicates whether the button press should be repeated every frame. Note: Speed of repetition is dependent on the frame rate only.
Scancode
Only for "Event" = "Keyboard". Indicates the hexadecimal scancode of the mapped key. Note: This is not the virtual keycode, but the scancode of the keyboard. Therefore it does not depend on localization settings but only on the physical position of the key on the keyboard.
Button
Only for "Event" = "Mouse". Defines the associated mouse action. Can be one of the following mouse buttons: "Left", "Right", "Middle". Also can be a mouse wheel event "WheelUp" or "WheelDown". The third function is for moving the mouse cursor: "MouseMoveUp", "MouseMoveDown", "MouseMoveLeft", "MouseMoveRight".
MoveByPixels
Only for "Event" = "Mouse". Indicates how many pixels the mouse cursor is moved when the event occurs. Only works in conjunction with "Button" = "MouseMoveUp", "MouseMoveDown", "MouseMoveLeft" or "MouseMoveRight".

Re: Clavier Virtuel + PSPdisp v0.2?
